New Patients

Yes! We welcome newborns, infants, children, and adolescents from birth through 18 years of age.

We recommend scheduling your newborn's first appointment within 1–3 days after leaving the hospital, unless your pediatrician or the hospital recommends an earlier visit.

Yes! We would love to meet you before your baby arrives. This complimentary visit is a chance to ask questions, learn about our practice, and decide if Graceville Pediatrics is the right fit for your family.

Congratulations on your new baby!
Please bring:
Your baby's hospital discharge paperwork (if available)
Your baby's insurance information (if already available)
A photo ID for the parent or legal guardian
Any medications or vitamins your baby is taking
A list of any questions or concerns you'd like to discuss
If you're breastfeeding, bottle-feeding, or doing a combination of both, we'll discuss feeding, weight gain, sleep, newborn care, and answer all of your questions during the visit.

To help us provide the best care possible, please bring:
Your child's insurance card
A photo ID for the parent or legal guardian
Your completed new patient forms (if completed ahead of time)
Your child's immunization record
Any medications your child is currently taking
Medical records from your previous pediatrician, if available (or complete a records release form so we can request them)
Any specialist reports or recent test results, if applicable
Most importantly, bring your questions! We want you to leave your visit feeling informed, supported, and confident about your child's care.

We care for children from birth through 18 years of age.

Yes. We provide comprehensive pediatric care for both acute illnesses and many chronic childhood conditions.

If your child has difficulty breathing, is unresponsive, has a seizure lasting more than five minutes, has a serious injury, or you believe your child has a life-threatening emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department immediately.

Yes. We provide prescription refills for established patients when medically appropriate.
Please allow 48–72 business hours for routine medication refill requests. Whenever possible, request refills before your child runs out of medication, especially before weekends or holidays.
Please note that antibiotics are not refilled without an evaluation. If your child is still ill or symptoms have returned, we would like to see your child to determine the best next step and ensure the most appropriate treatment.

Yes. We reserve same-day appointments for sick children whenever possible because we know illnesses don't always happen on schedule.

We believe exceptional care takes time. Our visits are designed to allow time for your questions, thoughtful conversations, and personalized care.

Yes. Telehealth is available for select concerns when appropriate. If your child needs an in-person examination, we'll let you know.
Vaccines

Yes. We strongly recommend vaccines according to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommended schedule because we believe they are one of the safest and most effective ways to protect children's health. Check out our vaccines policy

We welcome your questions. Our goal is to provide honest, evidence-based information in a respectful environment so you can make informed decisions for your child.

Yes. We understand that some families have questions or may choose to delay vaccines. We will continue to discuss immunizations during your child's well visits and ask families who decline recommended vaccines to sign our Vaccine Refusal/Declination Form. We believe these conversations are an important part of caring for your child.
Communication

Yes. Secure messaging through the patient portal will be available for non-urgent questions.

Our office provides after-hours guidance for urgent medical concerns. If your child is experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 immediately.
